On November 30th, a virtual workshop on Carbon Neutral Charging Infrastructure was organized by Business Sweden and China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA). The virtual workshop is part of the Green Mobility theme in the Pioneer the possible platform in China. The discussion focused on how to achieve carbon neutrality in the transport sector through green charging infrastructure as well as explore opportunities for collaboration between China and Sweden.
During the workshop, Mr. Roderick Xu, Head of Investment Advisory Business Sweden, presented the development of Swedish charging infrastructure and Swedish representatives from green mobility sector shared their vision and efforts in the electrification transition. Mr. Shi Zhi’ang from Volvo Cars presented the strategy and action plan in achieving carbon neutrality goal; Mr. Zhao Jie from PowerCell introduced the zero-emission distributed energy solution; Scania shared their views on the charging solution to heavy duty vehicles and actions in Europe.
Mr. Tong Zongqi, Director of Information Department and Mr. Li Kang, Director of General Department of EVCIPA gave an overview of the development of charging industry and introduced the supply of clean energy to charging infrastructure in China.
Representatives from leading Chinese charging industry including Newlink NaaS, Du-Power, Enneagon and Jiangsu E-Charger also presented solutions on how to increase efficiency and availability of the charging facilities.
Ms. Amanda Alkemark of Business Sweden concluded the workshop by addressing the importance of collaboration between vehicle manufacturers and charging companies, between Swedish players and Chinese peers to achieve the carbon neutrality goal within transport sector. She also encouraged all the participants to carry on the discussion and achieve concrete collaboration through the platform.
