China-Nordic Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, Hubei province, Nov 14th

For the sixth consecutive time, Business Sweden together with the Swedish embassy in Beijing attended the China-Nordic Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum arranged by Hubei provincial government in Wuhan on November 14. During the event, Business Sweden introduced Swedish business landscape in Hubei and conveyed the vision of the participating Swedish companies, Alfa Laval, Sweco, ABB, IKEA, Dellner, IVL. Hubei is the first and currently the only province in China to have established a long-term mechanism for economic and trade cooperation with the Nordic countries. The import and export between Hubei and Sweden has reached a total of 720 million RMB in 2023.

In conjunction with the main forum, a side-event focusing on sustainable urban development was jointly organized by Business Sweden and the Huangshi Municipal Government. More than 100 people attended the event, including Mr. Wu Zhiling, Mayor of Huangshi City. Alfa Laval, Sweco, ABB and IVL gave presentations.

Participants expressed a collective aspiration for both parties to leverage the event as an opportunity to focus on shared interests, strengthen connections, and collaboratively propel high-quality urban development.
