On May 17th, Business Sweden co-hosted a workshop with the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing in Suzhou city, Jiangsu province. The workshop focused on ESG management for green supply chain and green heating. This workshop is an event of Pioneer the possible platform in China.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Linn Engvall, who is responsible for Sustainable Business (CSR) at the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing, and Mr. Guo Xiuming from the China Electronics Standardisation Association.
During the morning session, keynote speeches were delivered by the Shanghai Electronic & IT Products Recycling Promotion Centre, EY, and Jinmao Law Firm. In the afternoon session, presentations were given by the Northwest Electric Power Design Institute and the Biomass Energy Industry Promotion Association in China. These keynote speakers provided facts, discussed the latest policies, and highlighted the current development trends in these areas of ESG management and green heating.
Representatives from Swedish companies SKF and Scania took the opportunity to deliver speeches and shared their best practices in ESG management and green energy. Zeta Boiler also contributed to the event by sharing their innovative technical solutions for eco-friendly heating systems. Additionally, a representative from Delta China shared their insights and best practices in ESG management, further enriching the knowledge exchange.
The summit also entailed two panel discussions that featured representatives from renowned Swedish companies including Munters, Volvo Cars, IKEA, H&M, and IVL. These panels brought together experts from companies and organizations such as amfori, Foxconn and Shanghai Computer Technology Association as well. The discussions revolved around the impact, opportunities, and challenges associated with ESG management, and technologies and accessibility of clean industrial heating, providing valuable insights into innovative approaches within this field.
With a participation of around 100 individuals, the workshop provided an exceptional platform for networking and establishing valuable connections. Attendees were able to engage with professionals who shared similar interests, fostering opportunities for potential collaborations.
