On August 25th, Sweden-China (Shandong) District Energy Seminar was conducted in Jinan city, Shandong province. Low carbon, green transition were the focused areas of the seminar. The seminar was organized by Business Sweden, Shandong Regional Energy Society, and supported by SweHeat & Cooling and Jinan Energy Group. More than 120 participants from Jinan Energy Group, China Academy of Building Research, Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Development, Henan Urban Planning Association, Harbin Institute of Technology and Shandong University etc. joined the seminar in person.
Swedish representatives, Paul Westin from Swedish Energy Agency, Weine Wiqvist from Avfall Sverige, Bernt Andersson from SweHeat and Cooling as well as technology providers ABB, Alfa Laval, Swep and CarboSeal made speeches and shared their experiences and solutions in green energy transition.
Mr. Pan Shiying, Chairman of Jinan Energy Group made speech at the seminar and expressed interest of further collaboration with Swedish companies. A strategic cooperation agreement was signed in the seminar between Shandong Regional Energy Society and SweHeat & Cooling. Business Sweden and representatives from Shandong Energy Group witnessed the signing ceremony.
Mr. Johan Lennefalk of Business Sweden introduced “Pioneer the possible” platform in China, as well as the “Sustainable Heating & Cooling by Sweden” program supported by the Swedish Energy Agency. Mr. Lennefalk hopes for more collaboration between Sweden and Shandong in the field of district heating and district cooling.
In addition, Swedish participating companies, along with local participants to the seminar, visited Jinan CBD district cooling project and a brand-new factory for producing cooling pipes using the latest technology.
