Knowledge sharing workshop: tools and competence for green supply chains

Business Sweden organized a knowledge sharing workshop with the focus on “Tools and competence building to achieve carbon neutrality in China” on September 13th as part of the platform Pioneer the possible.

Energy management is core for carbon reduction. The transformation of the energy system will make a decisive contribution to achieving carbon neutrality. Digital technology can provide dynamic, real-time, and comprehensive data support for energy use and other carbon emission activities. It enables companies integrate carbon management into the production and operation internally and achieve the coordination of the entire industrial chain externally.

During the workshop, Business Sweden gave a presentation on tools for achieving carbon neutrality in China to discuss different tools that can be applied for carbon emission management. External speakers were invited to share their practice to drive sustainability and increase transparency along the supply chain through digital solutions. Monitor ERP introduced the new functions in their system on CO2 footprint mapping and calculation on single product level. Speakers from Bravowhale Technology and Deloitte China presented how to close the gap for 100% zero carbon emission through traceable green power and credible green certificates including IREC.

Eight Swedish companies of Pioneer the possible platform in China Alfa Laval, Alleima, Munters, Scania, SKF, Sweco, Volvo Cars, and White Peak attended the knowledge-sharing session, along with IKEA and Volvo Group.
