From August 31st to September 1st, Ambassador Helena Sångeland led a delegation of leading Swedish companies Afry, Alfa Laval, Envac, SKF, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group to the Taiyuan Energy Low Carbon Development Forum held in Taiyuan city, Shanxi Province. Theme of the forum was energy, carbon peaking & carbon neutrality, and development.

A Sweden-Shanxi match-making roundtable was conducted on September 1st in conjunction with the forum. Representatives from Shanxi Provincial Environment Department, Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau, Shanxi Provincial Asset Management Group, Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone as well as business leaders from Shanxi Meijin Energy, Jinneng Power, Sedin Engineering and Taiyuan Heating Group etc. joined the meeting.

At the roundtable meeting, Ambassador Helena Sångeland delivered opening speech and she hopes for more collaboration between Sweden and Shanxi. Johan Lennefalk of Business Sweden introduced Pioneer the possible platform in China and Sweden’s achievement of sustainable development.

Swedish technology and solution providers Afry, Alfa Laval, Envac, SKF, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group shared their experiences in low carbon development and exchanged ideas with participants from Shanxi. Both parties expressed interest for further discussion and collaboration in the field of green transformation and sustainable development.
