Pioneer the possible networking event in Shanghai

The reception commenced with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Amanda Alkemark, Regional Manager Government Affairs at Business Sweden. Ms. Alkemark also introduced the Pioneer the possible activity plan for the second half of 2024, highlighting the exciting opportunities and initiatives that lie ahead.

Addressing the concerns of Swedish companies in China with local supply chains, Ms. Heidi Berg, ESG and Sustainability Director at DI-Asia Base, delivered a speech on "EU-CSRD and its Impact to MNCs in China and the Chinese Suppliers." Her insightful presentation shed light on the implications of the EU-CSRD and its relevance to multinational corporations operating in China.

Ms. Zheng Ying, representing the Sichuan Energy Internet Research Institute at Tsinghua University, shared valuable insights on green power, green certificates, and EU Green directives. This topic resonates with Swedish companies in China, as green power remains to be one of the key concerns of the Swedish companies in China and their supply chains.

Mr. Thomas Zhao, Vice President of SKF China and Northeast Asia, took the stage to share the successful implementation of global strategies in the Chinese market. His presentation showcased SKF's best practices and is truly inspiring to Swedish companies in China.

The networking reception also featured an interactive session, where participants actively engaged in discussions. The topics of circularity, climate, and safety emerged as top concerns in sustainability-related work. Furthermore, it was noted that there have been notable changes in the information requested from headquarters regarding sustainability over the past three years.
