On May 30th, a roadshow to Hefei was organized by Business Sweden China team in collaboration with China Society of Automotive Engineers as part of the Pioneer the possible platform under theme of green mobility. The event aimed at advancing low carbon development of EV value chain, brought together industry leaders and experts from Hefei and Sweden, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to drive sustainable mobility solutions.

In the morning, the Swedish pioneers paid a visit to NIO’s Hefei manufacturing base and Gotion‘s HQ and testing lab. In NIO, the pioneers visited paint workshop and assembly workshop in the F1 factory. NIO also demonstrated the battery swapping solution on site. In Gotion, the group was received by Mr. Yan Changqing, the director of Chairman office and visited the testing lab.

A workshop was organized in the afternoon focusing on EV value chain low carbon development. Representatives from prominent companies such as JAC, Volvo Cars, Montavista, Afry, Gotion, Alfa Laval, and Octillion shared their insights on sustainable practices and solutions within their respective industries. A discussion session moderated by Mr. Zhang Xuming, Vice Secretary-General of China-SAE, allowed participants to exchange ideas around the challenges and opportunities for decarbonization efforts throughout the EV value chain.

The event successfully facilitated knowledge sharing and networking opportunities among key stakeholders, further advancing the development of clean energy vehicles in Hefei and beyond.
